Dot Mitchell

Dot Mitchell was a NJ Marriage & Family therapist for over twenty years when a family move took her from Chatham to Cape May, NJ.

After retirement from her practice in Cape May, she began painting with pastels. She took classes locally, worked with local instructors and participated and placed in area art exhibits.

Dot’s pastel paintings are mostly landscapes and seascapes, inspired by her travels, life in Cape May as well as her love of nature and the Jersey shore.

After returning to live in the Morris County area, she has continued to take classes, participates in art shows and spends much of her summer at the shore.

Dot typically paints with Terry Ludwig pastels on sanded paper. All of her work is custom framed.
